Getting started

Who is The Closing Atelier for?

Real estate licensees in Illinois (and people working under one) who want to keep buyers and sellers informed from contract to closing. For now it supports Illinois transactions only.

Can I use it outside Illinois?

The Closing Atelier is currently offered only to real estate licensees licensed in Illinois, for transactions involving Illinois property, and their clients. Templates and timelines reflect common Illinois practice and may not fit other states.

Do my clients pay or need an account?

No. Clients always use their portal free. They sign in with an access code or a one-time link you send, with no password to remember.

Do I need a credit card for the free trial?

No. The 7-day trial needs no card and does not turn into a paid plan by itself. You choose a plan only if you want to continue.

What does the free trial include?

The 7-day trial is a limited preview: 1 active deal, voice dictation, the closing timeline, client invites and basic appointments. Unlimited deals, inspection and sewer summaries with cost estimates, contractor quotes, Google Calendar sync, weekly client summaries, notifications to inspectors and other parties, email import, your branding and Trusted Pros come with a paid subscription ($29/month or $290/year). Your clients are always free. See the comparison.

What happens when my trial ends?

If you choose a plan, nothing changes. If you don't, agent tools pause, your clients keep read-only access to their files, and you can still sign in to export your data.

Is there a mobile app?

The Closing Atelier works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. There is nothing to download from an app store.

Plans and billing

How much does it cost?

$29 per month or $290 per year, the same price for every agent, plus any applicable tax. Clients are always free. See Pricing.

Will my price go up?

Prices may change. We will email you before a new price applies to your next renewal, and you may cancel before then. Everyone pays the same price. Details of any price lock for current subscribers will be announced before paid plans open.

Are there usage limits?

Each plan includes generous fair-use amounts every month: 300 minutes of voice dictation, 1,500 forwarded emails and 20 inspection or sewer-scope summaries. Your Billing page shows how much you've used. There are no overage charges; if you reach an amount, only that feature pauses until the next month.

How do I cancel?

Sign in, open Billing and choose Cancel subscription. It's fully online. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and there is no minimum term.

Do you offer team or brokerage plans?

Coming soon. The Team plan is planned at $129 per month for up to 5 agents, and Brokerage plans from $20 per seat per month. They are not available yet; contact us if you'd like to hear when they open.

Can I see a demo first?

Of course. Book a 15-minute online demo and we'll walk you through a sample closing from both the agent and client side.

Features

Which languages do clients see?

English, Polish and Spanish. Each client can choose their language.

Can I replace my e-signature service?

The built-in e-signature is designed for simple acknowledgments. For purchase contracts and other formal documents, keep using your brokerage's e-signature provider.

Do you provide notary or remote online notarization?

The Closing Atelier does not provide notary, remote online notarization or electronic notarization services. The app’s e-signature feature is for simple acknowledgments only and must not be used for documents that require notarization. Your attorney or title company will arrange any notarization.

Can clients get text messages?

Yes, if they opt in. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. They can reply STOP at any time, and automated texts respect quiet hours.

When will Virtual Staging be available?

It's coming soon as an optional add-on (planned at +$10/month, up to 40 images). Every staged image will be clearly labeled and shown next to the original photo.

Does The Closing Atelier use AI?

Some content in The Closing Atelier, such as virtually staged images, summaries or suggested wording, is created with artificial intelligence. AI can make mistakes. AI content is clearly labeled, is reviewed by the agent before clients see it, and is never legal advice or a statement about a property’s condition or value.

How do dictation and email forwarding work?

Speak an update on your phone, or forward a deal email to your private forwarding address. The Closing Atelier suggests a client update and timeline changes for you to review. Nothing changes and nothing is sent to your client until you approve it. Recordings are not stored, full emails are not kept, and anything that looks like bank or wire details is blocked. Connecting Gmail or Outlook directly is coming later.

What are inspection and sewer-scope summaries?

Upload the inspector's PDF report and get the findings grouped by safety, major systems, maintenance and cosmetic items, with rough Chicago-area cost ranges for planning. They are informational only, not inspection or engineering advice; always get quotes from licensed contractors. You can also invite contractors to quote on selected items; they see only those items, never your client's details.

Can appointments go to my Google Calendar?

Yes, optionally. Schedule inspections, walk-throughs and closings on a file, and everyone attending gets an invite (.ics) with reminders. If you connect Google Calendar, appointments appear in a separate "The Closing Atelier" calendar and changes you make there come back to the app. You can disconnect at any time.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export your files as CSV or ZIP at any time, including after your subscription ends.

Trust and privacy

Is The Closing Atelier a real estate brokerage?

The Closing Atelier is not a real estate brokerage and does not perform any activity that requires a real estate license. We do not list, show, market or negotiate property, give opinions of value, or receive any fee tied to a transaction or referral. Each agent who uses the app, and that agent’s sponsoring brokerage, remains fully responsible for their services, advice, advertising, records and compliance with the Illinois Real Estate License Act and brokerage policies.

Is The Closing Atelier a law firm?

The Closing Atelier is not a law firm and does not provide legal services. Using the website or app, or contacting us, does not create an attorney-client relationship with us or with anyone else. Illinois purchase contracts often include an attorney review period; please rely on your own attorney for legal questions.

Is anything on this site or in the app legal advice?

The Closing Atelier is software for organizing and sharing transaction status. Nothing on this website, in the app, in our guides or in any message from us is legal, tax, lending, accounting or financial advice, and it does not replace your attorney, lender, accountant, inspector or other professional. Your contract and your professionals control. Please ask them about your specific situation.

What does "Consult" mean?

Our “Consult” promise means white-glove onboarding and product support for the software. We do not advise on transactions, contracts, negotiations or legal questions; your broker and attorney do.

Does The Closing Atelier handle wire instructions or money?

No. WIRE FRAUD WARNING: The Closing Atelier will never send, request, or change wire instructions. Before sending any money, call your attorney or title company directly at a phone number you have independently verified (not one from an email or text). Never act on emailed or texted wire instructions or changes.

Will anyone ever ask for my password or sign-in codes?

No one from The Closing Atelier, and no agent using our app, will ever ask for your password, your sign-in or two-factor codes, or your bank details by phone, email or text. Never share them. If someone asks, do not respond and contact theclosingatelier@gmail.com.

How is client information protected?

Agent accounts use two-factor sign-in, documents are encrypted, each client sees only their own file, and every view or change is logged. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Does this website use cookies?

Our website does not use cookies, advertising pixels or tracking analytics. The app uses only strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and protect your account. If we ever add privacy-friendly analytics, we will update this notice first. We do not sell or share browsing data.
